OrthoWrap is made from a POLYLACTIDE CO-POLYMER (70:30 L-LACTIDE CO-D AND L-LACTIDE).
OrthoWrap maintains strength during the critical process while slowly breaking down in the body through bulk hydrolysis. (Here the polymer resorbs into single lactic acid molecules which are metabolized by the liver into CO2 and H20 and released through the body via RESPIRATION (Krebs Cycle). It is a synthetic match to the natural lactic acid found in the body.
